Our Mission

• ​​To promote the advancement of pre-hospital medical care;
• To promote, facilitate and provide for the education of Emergency Medical Service Providers;
• To enhance educational opportunities in emergency medicine;
• To enhance communication among the EMS community;
• To establish the Northwest corner of CT/NY/MA as a center of excellence in pre-hospital emergency care;
• To provide a coordinated outreach to the service area of Sharon Hospital.

Updates

The EMS Institute began a restructuring program in the summer of 2023, electing a new board of directors and moving to a new location. 

Our short term goal is to develop new educational projects in early 2024, while keeping the American Heart Association program active.

​We wish to thank the dedicated ad hoc Committee of Regional EMS Providers who donated their time and expertise in the restructuring. We are confident this will enable the Institute to move forward and continue to serve the EMS community.
